    Director

    Simon created Green Building Design Consultants in 2001 and has established an impressive list of clients. With over 25 years’ experience and a BEng (Hons) in Mechanical & Electrical Building Services, Simon and has a proven track record in delivering technically complex and challenging projects across many sectors including large commercial developments, the banking sector, the education sector and urban regeneration projects. Simon lectures on the M&E aspects of dilapidations and supports dilapidations surveys with expert analysis and advice.

    Joanne Green

    Health, Safety & EMS Co-ordinator / Accounts Clerk

    Joanne joined the team in September 2008 with a background as Health & Safety advisor and Quality Co-ordinator for major companies bringing a vast range of skills to the team. Joanne has a BA (Hons) in Business and Quality Management and a NEBOSH National Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety. As well as managing the company’s Health & Safety file, Joanne’s role includes managing accounts and purchase ledger systems.

    Huw Davies

    Principal Engineer

    Huw has over 25 years’ experience of producing integrated building services design solutions. Previously a main board director at Waterman Building Services, Huw joined the team in March 2010.  With extensive experience in historic buildings and refurbishment, commercial offices, banking, education and urban regeneration, Huw has managed the M&E element of major projects up to £130m in value. Huw is also working towards fellowship of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers.

    Tom Ryan Ceng

    Bid & Framework Manager

    Tom joined Green Building Design in January 2018 as Bid and Framework Manager, expert in guiding the delivery of business development strategies including framework bidding for SME building services organisations to drive efficiency and profitability.

    Clients and organisations Tom has worked with include; Broadgate Estates, Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust, Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust,  London Stock Exchange, IBM South Bank, Galway Clinic, Galway-Mayo Institute of Technology, Hermitage Medical Clinic and University College Hospital Galway.

    Tom is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Healthcare Engineering and Estate Management (IHEEM), a Member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) and Certified Member of British Institute of Facilities Management (BIFM).

    Richard Emery

    Senior Authorising Engineer

    In February 2018 Richard joined Green Building Design Consultants as a Senior Authorising Engineer, with a wealth of AE experience with MITIE and Carillion.
     
    Richard has worked on critical complex electrical systems in acute hospitals, data centres and other technical facilities with medium and high risk infrastructures.
     
    As an AE Richard has responsibility for the implementation, administration, auditing and monitoring of the safe systems of work employed by clients under contract.

    Graham Bennett

    Mechanical Design Engineer

    With over 40 years’ experience in the Building Services industry with Faber Maunsell, Capita Symonds and Lorne Stewart, Graham has a vast knowledge within private, commercial and healthcare sectors. He joined Green Building Design Consultants in 2009 and has worked on the successful design of numerous projects and developments. Graham is a member of Health Engineering & Estates Management (IHEEM) and is also working towards CIBSE chartered membership.

    Mark Bennett

    Electrical Engineer

    Mark is a time-served electrician with over 25 years’ experience. Having worked as a foreman managing a team of electricians on several major complex projects, Mark joined Green Building Design Consultants in 2011 for a change in career direction to become a design engineer. Mark has since gained a strong understanding of the Amtech electrical design package and applies his on-site knowledge to project design, making the valuable link between the design and installation aspects of fit out work.

    Graham Champion

    Senior Electrical Engineer

    Graham recently joined GBD having previously worked for Capita – Property and Infrastructure, who acquired his original employer (J E Greatorex & Partners), where he studied on a day release basis at Watford and Harrow colleges of further education, attaining an HNC in electrical engineering which earned him associated membership of CIBSE and IEng qualifications. He has over 40 years of experience in electrical engineering design, including numerous past Healthcare projects and more recently with Educational and Residential work, together with commercial office developments, fit-outs and acquisition/condition surveys/reports, as well as some experience with Rail (Network Rail, LUL & Crossrail) and TfL projects.

    Kin Lee

    Mechanical Engineer

    Kin managed the design of several projects in Malaysia after gaining his Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and receiving two outstanding Scholastic Achievement Awards. Kin came to the UK to further his studies and achieved a B.Eng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering. He joined Green Building Design Consultants in August 2007 and is applying his expertise in CAD design, Hevacomp modelling, mechanical design, CFD modelling and plant selection to many high profile projects.

    Robert Wilson

    Electrical Engineer

    Joining the company as a graduate engineer in 2005, having completed his Master’s Degree, Robert has developed into an experienced engineer, in particular excelling in the area of light and lighting design. He has managed several projects including office and school refurbishments, fit-outs, and design of services for an environmentally friendly office. Robert is an affiliate member of CIBSE, highly skilled in AutoCad, Amtech and Dialux, and has achieved a Diploma in Light and Lighting from the Lighting Education Trust though distance Learning at Southbank University.

    Jaejae Dimmock

    Mechanical Engineer

    Jaejae joined the company in 2014 as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer. In addition to his engineering skills, he is proficient in Autodesk Revit, Solidworks and Thermal Elements Analysis and is now turning his career to Building Services Design. He is aiming for CIBSE membership in the medium term and in the long term wishes to achieve Chartered Engineer status.

    Apprentice Building Services Design Engineer

    Chelsie joined Green Building Design Consultants in September 2013 on a four year apprenticeship and is working alongside other engineers on a number of projects. She is currently studying with the aim of gaining a BEng in Building Services Engineering.

    Graduate Design Engineer

    Oliver joined Green Building Design Consultants in 2018 as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer from Bristol University, and is supporting engineers on a number of projects. He has a keen interest in building services design and is aiming for Chartered Engineer status in the future.

    George joined Green Building Design Consultants in September 2016 on a four year apprenticeship and is working alongside other engineers on a number of projects. He is currently attending the City of Westminster College and is working towards achieving a BTEC Level 3 Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment (BSE).
