GBD Design BREEAM ‘Very Good’ Building Services to Support Planning Application for 321-335 Kensal Road

Subject to planning permission, 321-335 Kensal Road, Ladbroke Grove will be a mixed use building including HQ office accommodation, and A3 retail use to be constructed on derelict land adjacent to Ladbroke Grove tube station.

Working alongside Stiff + Trevillion Architects, Green Building Design Consultants produced outline designs for all building services to keep CO₂ impact to a minimum. A full energy statement and sustainability report were also produced as part of the planning submission.

The recommended solution features a micro-CHP system, Photo-voltatic panels on the roof as well as energy efficient lighting, cooling and zonal controls. The project is targeted to achieve a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating, with carbon emissions 40% lower than building regulations.
