50 Kings Hill is a 50,000 square foot commercial office building, set over three floors. It required replacement and repair works to the central plant, equipment and ancillary systems to improve the EPC rating.
Green Building Design, as M&E consultants, modelled a number of alternative combinations of improvements to services, both mechanical and electrical, to determine the most energy efficient and low carbon methods of reducing energy consumption.

· New energy efficient LED luminaires
· Power Factor Correction
· Packaged air handling unit with heat recovery
All of these energy efficiency measures resulted in the EPC being reduced from D99 to C55.
