Jaejae Dimmock Passes IES Virtual Environment Exam to Become a Low Carbon Energy Assessor

aejae Dimmock, Graduate Mechanical Engineer, has passed his IES Virtual Environment exam and is now qualified as a Low Carbon Energy Assessor to manage energy assessments for Level 3, 4 and 5 buildings. An application will be made to the CIBSE Accreditation Board for Green Building Design Consultants to issue Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) and Part L Compliance certificates once Jaejae has gained the necessary post exam experience.

As specialists in energy efficient design, engineers at Green Building Design Consultants are currently using IES VE software to undertake energy assessments and compliance checks for mechanical and electrical design projects. Being accredited to issue EPCs strengthens the company’s capability as low carbon consultants.

IES Virtual Environment is the industry standard software used in to calculate energy performance. All aspects of structural design, insulation, solar gain, heating, cooling, lighting and renewable energy sources are taken into account when making an assessment.

Energy Performance Certificates are mandatory for all business premises with a floor area above 50m2 which are rented, sold, newly constructed or for which fixed heating, air conditioning or mechanical ventilation systems are extended.
